Pennsylvania Inpatient Drug Rehab Treatment Center Reviews
Philadelphia • Pittsburgh • Allentown • Erie • Reading • Scranton • Bethlehem • Lancaster
Whether you’re seeking help for opiates, cocaine, alcohol, speed/methamphetamine or any other of the myriad of substances within the scope of chemical dependency, the State of Pennsylvania has some of the nation’s most well regarded residential drug rehab centers. And as the epidemic of addiction continues to rise worldwide, more and more facilities open their doors, ultimately providing sufferers with an even broader array of options.
Pennsylvania’s major cities consist of; Allentown, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Reading, Scranton, Erie, Lancaster and several others. The state’s demographics range greatly and thus, there exists a broad landscape of rehabilitation options. Lower income areas will of course provide more options for addicts and alcoholics seeking free or low-cost/affordable residential treatment services. Most of the higher-end and/or nationally known facilities usually work with major health insurance providers, however, in many cases there will remain a need for an added out-of-pocket contribution on the part of the client. On a side not, those with PPO insurance, as opposed to HMO, will typically find it easier to gain approval on the part of the provider. While PA does have its share of high-end luxury drug rehab centers, most are considered to be more clinically-based, thereby focusing more on the core recovery program rather than over-the-top amenities.
There are a variety of elements to consider prior to entering an inpatient treatment center for addiction. And be aware that while the descriptive terminology may vary, ie., substance abuse, chemical dependency, alcoholism, etc., the maladies they treat are basically the same. Obviously, you should focus on searching out consumer reviews, testimonials and potential complaints on websites that have no reason to present biased information. You may also want to avoid services that charge you money for accessing their database of information. Also, be sure to have a list of questions prepared prior to contacting each potential treatment center’s admission staff. Here are some possible questions you may consider asking:
- Is the facility 12-Step based, non 12-Step based, hybrid, holistic, religious, etc?
- What are the costs involved and do they work with your health insurance provider?
- Is the facility co-ed or gender-specific?
- What does the day-to-day clinical schedule of recovery services entail?
- Does the facility or staff track their program graduates and measure the rate of success in terms of how many remain sober and for how long?
- Do they offer aftercare or transitional sober living housing as a means to help reintegrate their clients back into society in a healthy way?
